Hannah is a writer, director, producer and actor based in Vancouver, BC. She believes stories shape our world, and is interested in ideas that are big-hearted and boundary pushing.
Her screenplays have placed in competitions through the BBC Writer’s Room and HollyShorts Film Festival. As a director, Hannah created a music video in association with Ballet BC and her short films have screened at numerous festivals. She’s also associate directed theatre productions, and collaborated on the creation of theatre labs dedicated to access for disabled artists and seniors, with support from the Canada Council for the Arts.
Hannah produced a participatory documentary series about homelessness shot on iPhone and distributed by NowThis and Little Dot Studios, reaching 15+ million views online. She’s creative producer of a documentary about community conservation in Howe Sound/ Átl’ka7stem, available for educational distribution via Moving Images and McIntyre Media, and recently featured as part of the main exhibition at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. She was in VIFF’s 2022 Catalyst Mentorship cohort.
Her poetry can be found in PRISM International, Room Magazine, The League of Canadian Poets, Canthius, Metatron Press and others, and she won the 2023 RCLAS Write On! Poetry Contest. Non-fiction bylines include Exclaim! Magazine, Megaphone Magazine, and The Georgia Straight.
Hannah holds a BA in International Development Studies from McGill University, an MA in Acting from East 15 Acting School and a postgraduate diploma from the London Film Academy. She received her 200hr yoga teaching certification from Semperviva Yoga.
She has hEDS and has been disabled by ongoing CSF leaks and other complications since 2020 but welcomes remote work opportunities until better recovered. She wrote about her experience for the UBC Medical Journal and aims to be an advocate for equitable health care and disability rights.
